Taylor to Address RedState Gathering
Rep. Bill Taylor (R-Aiken) will address the third annual RedState national conference being held this Friday and Saturday, August 12-13, in Charleston, S.C. Taylor will join Congressman Rob Woodall (R-GA) as the luncheon speakers on Saturday explaining and promoting the Fair Tax, nationally and for South Carolina.
Others appearing at the conference include prospective presidential candidate Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX), Gov. Rick Scott (R-FL), Gov. Nikki Haley (R-SC), Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC), Congressman Tim Scott (R-SC) and other notable national Conservative Republicans. Hundreds of Conservative political bloggers from around the nation will be in attendance.
"This is a fantastic opportunity to educate Conservatives and news bloggers on the merits of the Fair Tax both for our nation and South Carolina," said Taylor, who is a primary sponsor of the S.C. Fair Tax Act (H.3993). Taylor added, "The state Fair Tax will be a major step toward comprehensive tax reform that will make South Carolina a beacon for industries and companies to relocate here and create much needed jobs. We have the opportunity to be the number one state in tax reform and set the pace rather than being a follower."
RedState is the most widely read right of center blog on Capitol Hill, is the most often cited right of center blog in the media, and is widely considered one of the most influential voices of the grassroots on the right.
